This is my story
Hello everyone, my name is Crystal Russo. I am a mother to four beautiful girls that are my reasons for everything. This photo of me with my grandmother (Nonna) many years back.
I'd love to share my journey with you. A journey that led me to my life today, inspired by my grandmother.
I faced many obstacles during my upbringing, but that has made me who I am today, and I am forever grateful for how far I have come. It definitely wasn’t an easy road to get to where I am now, but it was damn worth it.
My grandmother ( Nonna ) raised me for most of the younger years of my life. She sacrificed so much for me to become the strong person I am today and taught me never to give up and push through anything in life because if you don't, you will not succeed. With success, there comes failure, but after that failure comes achievement. I have achieved the most incredible talent, and it's through the love of my food.
My Nonna was a warrior, and she was the rock of the family. Her passion was to cook, and she did it so well. We ate an Italian feast every day. She showed so much love through her food and made anyone's belly happy that she fed. Growing up by her side daily in the kitchen and watching her cook. Her passion and determination inspired me in the kitchen. She was the best mentor who gave me the confidence I have today and the decision to be a better version of me.
Determination is an essential part of success. Determination motivates us to improve ourselves, make positive changes, and increase our chances of success. I am determined to live a positive and best life ever.
Growing up in an Italian home (with my grandparents) was definitely a stricter life, but for me, it gave me the knowledge I have today through my food experience. My all-time passion is to cook, and cooking is my happy place. My sole purpose is to share the most authentic Italian home-cooked food made with 100% true love from my home to yours.
I promise you will not be disappointed; I will give you freshness to every meal. I promise you will taste the freshness and fall in love with your first bite—my promise is your guarantee on Nonna's Cucina authentic meals.
My grandmother passed away in 2021. Rest her soul. I now live in her footsteps to carry on the legacy of sharing her most beautiful recipes with you all.
I hope to inspire you with my Italian cooking. Preparing food for someone is a significant act of love made fresh and always with real passion.
